A thousand-year-old ancient city

Jingzhou, a thousand-year-old ancient city, spans 15 dynasties and is one of the twenty-four famous historical and cultural cities. The ancient city wall of Jingzhou was formed during the Three Kingdoms period, and the brick city wall began to be repaired in the Five Dynasties. The existing city wall is the Ming and Qing city wall, which has a history of 2800 years. It is the only ancient city wall in China that has lasted the longest time, spanned the most dynasties, and evolved from the original earth wall to a combination of brick and earth. The total length is 11.28 kilometers, with six gates and nine towers. There are currently six gates and two towers remaining, with five Qiangbing caves, 26 gun emplacements, barbicans, and compound gate structures, which are exceptionally intact. The circumference of the ancient city wall of Jingzhou is 105 kilometers, with six city gates, each with a tower built on it. It is hailed as a 'rare intact treasure in southern China.' Today's Jingzhou has changed greatly, with many changes in the ancient city.
