It has a history of more than 1,300 years. I bought two half-price tickets for 40 yuan and entered through the northeast gate. The first thing you see is the full-length bronze statue of Premier Zhou Enlai, who celebrated the Water-Splashing Festival with the children of Xishuangbanna and other border areas on April 13, 1961; as you proceed along the way, you can see the King's Palace of Dai, which is mainly yellow and red in color, with a triangular roof that looks like a peacock spreading its tail; the "Ironwood" tree is peculiar, with a thick stump at the bottom and sprouting branches at the top, which are cut and sprouted again, and then cut again. It is said that the first thing Dai men and women do after marriage is to plant ironwood for their children. When the child gets married and starts a family in the future, he can only use the ironwood planted by his parents as fuel for making fire and cooking, and he is not allowed to cut down trees indiscriminately in the mountains. According to today's saying, it is reused and green and environmentally friendly. Sitting by the lake to rest, I saw a wooden sign with Chinese and Dai languages ​​written on it, so I started learning: Dad (Yibo), Mom (Yimei), Brother (Bizi), Sister (Biyin)… Continue up the small slope and you can see the White Pagoda and the Earth Goddess Xishuangbanna Main Buddhist Temple. This temple is the largest and most influential temple in the Dai area. It is the center for Buddhist believers to worship Buddha and it is also the highest-level Buddhist temple in Xishuangbanna!
