A Trip to Jingdezhen: The Porcelain Capital

I just got back from Jingdezhen and was amazed by this porcelain capital! 🏺 [Must-See Attractions] 1️⃣ Taoxichuan Ceramic Art Avenue: Mostly stalls set up by Jingdezhen college students starting their own businesses. The lighting design of the entire park is absolutely stunning, and the ceramic art district is full of atmosphere. Black outfits are recommended for efficient photoshoots at night. Recommended time: 18:00-22:00 Tips: You can find unique handmade ceramics if you look carefully. A scented candle or a small cup costs around RMB 88, but the designs are unique. ⚠ Be sure to pay attention to your personal safety and belongings. A friend had their phone stolen. The security footage showed that an umbrella was used to block the view, so it was definitely a repeat offender... 2️⃣ Taoyang New Village Night Market: A foodie paradise! All kinds of snacks are cheap and delicious. You can eat your fill for an average of RMB 30! 🍢 Small porcelain flowers are RMB 10 for 6, bracelets are RMB 10 for 5, porcelain roses are RMB 25 each, and sunflowers are RMB 18 each. At the end of the market, there is a store selling ice crackle teapot gift sets for RMB 80, buy one get one free, which is definitely the best deal. 3️⃣ Imperial Kiln Factory: The Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Factory is the official kiln factory with the longest firing time, largest scale, and most exquisite craftsmanship in China. Here, you can experience thousands of years of porcelain-making culture, especially the architectural landscape at the entrance, with the water view reflecting the buildings. Strolling around and taking pictures is very relaxing and comfortable. 4️⃣ China Ceramics Museum: The "Speechless Bodhisattva" is so cute. There are so many people that you have to line up in an S-shape. You can buy a small bell or refrigerator magnet in the cultural and creative gift shop. 🍽️ [Food Recommendations] You can walk into any beef bone noodle shop, but the taste is average. However, it is cheap and the portions are large. The signature beef bone noodles are served with the beef bones and noodles in separate bowls and only cost RMB 20. Highly recommend Jiangxi stir-fries 🌶️ Ouji Da Da Pai Dang/Dongli Dayuan/Jingshui Yao Jiangxi Cuisine. You can eat until you're stuffed for an average of RMB 60-100. The dishes are so delicious that you'll want to come back for more. Night market barbecue stalls are open until 3-4am, so the nightlife is super rich! You don't have to go far, Taoxichuan is enough. There are also quiet bars with a great atmosphere at night. 🏨 [Accommodation Recommendations] Jingdezhen Hyatt Place & Jingdezhen The Unbound Collection by Hyatt Although the value for money is average, the location and service attitude are good. It is located next to Taoxichuan and is within walking distance. The interior decoration and style of the hotel are very suitable for Trip Moments in ancient Chinese costumes. Unfortunately, I was short on time, so I just took a few quick snaps in my own clothes. The breakfast buffet is average, but the set dinner has obvious signs of being pre-made. It was heavily criticized by my companions. A table costs RMB 2,699, which is extremely poor value for money. The side dishes are unreasonable and there are very few vegetarian dishes. In short, it's not recommended. It is recommended to try local specialties, which cost around RMB 70 per person and are very delicious! 💡 Attention plz About Jingdezhen The service awareness and user-friendly experience of the whole city are not good. Whether it is pick-up, taxi, shopping, or various consumption experiences, the feeling is average. Be prepared. The cost of consumption is low, and the food is cost-effective. The nightlife is rich, and many ceramic culture markets are open until 2am, and barbecue stalls are open until 3-4am. Remember to make an appointment in advance for the museum, bring your ID card, and note that it is closed on Mondays.
