Gansu·Jiayuguan

The First Heroic Pass of the World·Jiayuguan is located on the Gobi Desert in the northwest, the westernmost end of the magnificent Great Wall of China. The First Pier stands on the east bank of the Taolai River. The scenes of the stone-carved guards fighting and living are vivid, as if they are still there, dutifully guarding the border.
