Nengren Temple with a Thousand-Year-Old Ginkgo Tree

There are many Nengren Temples in China, and this time we are visiting the one in Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing, Zhejiang. It was first built in the second year of the Tianjian period of the Southern Liang Dynasty, nearly 1,500 years ago. The existing temple was rebuilt in recent years, and the plaque of the temple gate was inscribed by Master Hongyi. The temple is magnificent and surrounded by water. There is an ancient ginkgo tree in the temple, which is 23 meters high, with a circumference of 6.4 meters, and is 1,513 years old, making it the oldest tree in Jiaxing. The ancient ginkgo tree is very beautiful in late autumn and early winter.
