The charm of the "old" Xitang still remains

Xitang is divided into Old Xitang and New Xitang. Old Xitang requires an admission fee of 100 yuan per person, and this refers to Old Xitang. Xitang ancient town is located in Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai. The terrain of Xitang is flat, with numerous rivers. There are 9 river channels converging in the town area, dividing it into 8 sections, and 24 stone bridges connect the five areas of the ancient town into one. Zhainong is another distinctive feature of Xitang, which includes street alleys that connect two parallel streets, water alleys that lead from the street to the river at the back, and peinong which are set on the side of the hall inside large residences. The more than 2000-meter-long Misty Rain Corridor is the most unique symbol of Xitang's architecture, with the corridor's shelter set up along the riverside, equipped with long benches with backs.
