This is my 4th trip to Xitang. Don't ask me why I am fond of Xitang, maybe it's because of the landscape-like scenery of this small town in the south of the Yangtze River, maybe it's because of the strong human fireworks, maybe... So when you come to Xitang, you must check in at these places⬇️⬇️⬇️ 🔹Xiyuan The largest private garden in Xitang ancient town🌳 There are pavilions, rockeries, fish ponds, trees, and flowers. Also checked in the same position as Jay Chou's 'Passerby'☑️ 🔹Zuiyuan Initially built in the Ming Dynasty, named after the 'Zuijing Hall' of the Wang's house, there is a small garden in the courtyard, and there is even a miniature stone arch bridge, which is very unique, only allowing one person to pass❗️ 🔹Button Museum This was originally a grocery store, facing the street and backed by the river, it is a typical commercial and residential house in the ancient town. Because Xitang is a famous button town in the country, it was later built into a button museum. 🔹Misty Rain Corridor A unique landscape line in Xitang ancient town‼️ If you have time, you can rest on the corridor, watch the sculling boat, pass through the water💦, watch the poetic and picturesque scenery of Xitang, it's so comfortable😌 🔹Shipi Alley The open-air alley sandwiched between two residences is the deepest, narrowest and longest alley in Xitang, built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, and it feels a little bit fat to pass. 🔹Sculling boat Recommended must check in👍 There are two piers➡️Wolong Bridge Tourist Pier and Songzilai Fengqiao Pier, I personally prefer the section of Songzilai Fengqiao. There is a feeling of people traveling in the painting🖼️ ⚪️Food: Wonton Old Duck Pot Must eat when you come to Xitang✔️ Shepherd's purse large wonton with fresh duck soup that drops eyebrows🥣 super love Chicken feet & pig's feet (I like it very much) Soft and glutinous, I always pack a few to take home In fact, there are many snacks on the streets of Xitang, such as wontons, gorgon fruit cakes, sea bream burns, stinky tofu... all worth a try, you can eat a crooked stomach unknowingly. 🏨Accommodation: Muyue Hotel I have stayed in a few homestays in Xitang before, this time I want to change the environment and choose a quiet hotel to stay in. The hotel is very close to Wuguniang Park, the overall is a modern Chinese-style Jiangnan water town architectural style, with the moon culture as the theme, especially the landscape in the courtyard, there is a kind of 'bright moon shines between the pines, clear spring flows on the stone' artistic conception. - Xitang Ancient Town ⏰Opening hours: open all day 🚗Transportation: You can take the K222 at Jiashan South Station by high-speed rail, and there are many intercity bus routes. But what I recommend most is self-driving, it is very convenient to enter the scenic area from the first parking lot. 📷Photography: There are many places in the ancient town suitable for taking Hanfu and cheongsam.
