The Zhu Family Garden in Jianshui is located at No. 16 Hanlin Street (near Shuyuan Street), Jianshui County, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is the residence and ancestral hall built by the brothers Zhu Weiqing, gentry of the late Qing Dynasty. The Zhu Family Garden in Jianshui covers a total area of more than 20,000 square meters, with a building area of more than 5,000 square meters. Facing southeast and northwest, it includes two parts: the residence and the ancestral hall. The main buildings of the Zhu Family Garden in Jianshui are arranged in an asymmetrical layout of 'three vertical and four horizontal,' with a pond, front garden, first courtyard, second courtyard, third courtyard, and back garden arranged sequentially along the main axis. It is a typical residential courtyard in Jianshui, featuring a group of buildings in a parallel and contiguous combination of 'five rooms with six ears and five halls, one large patio with four small patios.' The overall architectural structure is rigorous, making it a large traditional residence with a grand scale, unique architectural style, and the charm of a private garden in southern Yunnan.
