With my child, I boarded this narrow-gauge train in Jianshui, heading for the springtime scenery

After bringing Bingtang Xueli to Jianshui, I finally got to ride the much-anticipated narrow-gauge train. It is currently the smallest train in China's rail system, with a width of only one meter, hence the name 'narrow-gauge train.' Each passenger is given a bottle of water and a piece of local specialty Shizi cake. The train moves at a leisurely pace, slow enough to let time stand still. It's a treasure of a small town that I wanted to revisit with my child even before I returned, and I'm sharing this narrow-gauge train travel guide with you~ 1️⃣First stop: Lin'an Station (two trains per day, at 9:00-13:40 and 14:30-18:30) You can arrive at the station early to check in and take photos without staying too long. 2️⃣Second stop: Shuanglong Bridge (20-minute stop) Also known as the 'Seventeen-Arch Bridge,' it's quite a sight. The best photo spot is on the riverbank beside the bridge, where you can capture the bridge in the same frame. 3️⃣Third stop: Xianghui Bridge (20-minute stop) The century-old station is my favorite stop. Next to the station is a French-style B&B set amidst pastoral scenery, romantic and gentle. It's especially picturesque for photos, particularly the tatami tea room in the courtyard. It instantly made me feel the life I long for. There's also the Gushan Autumn Café and Changyuan Chinese-style afternoon tea, both offering exquisitely delicate meals that are well worth spending half a day to slowly savor. Creative markets are held here from time to time. Oh, and we had a meal of Yunnan's specialty wild mushroom hotpot at the restaurant here, which was fantastic. If you have enough time, I highly recommend making a special trip here. Even ordinary life can be lived romantically and artistically, which was the biggest impression it left on me. 4️⃣Fourth stop: Tuanshan Station (2.5-hour stop) Tuanshan Residence is a group of ancient residential buildings with a history of over 600 years. The village is tranquil, with elderly locals chatting and playing cards at the entrance. It's an ancient village that retains its original ecological charm, with some historical buildings worth slowly exploring. Don't forget to try the local Jianshui tofu at the village entrance. You can sit around the stove and eat it yourself, only 0.5 yuan each. 💰Ticket price: 120 yuan/person 🎫Tuanshan Residence ticket: 33 yuan/person ⏰Tour time: 4~5 hours 🔖Travel Tips: 🔘If you just want to take photos, you can go directly to Tuanshan Station, where the train stays longer, and you can also take pictures of the locomotive; 🔘During peak season, it's recommended to book tickets 3~5 days in advance, but you can also buy a ticket on the spot, although there may not be seats available; 🔘Soft seats are a bit more expensive than hard seats, which are wooden tables and chairs, making for better photo opportunities.
