Jiande Museum

Located on Jiangbin Middle Road in Xin'anjiang Subdistrict, Jiande City, Zhejiang Province, the Jiande Museum sits next to the Xin'an River and is the first comprehensive museum in Jiande City. Officially opened to the public on September 30, 2020, the museum covers an area of 9,891 square meters, with an exhibition hall area of 4,264 square meters. The Jiande Museum features four permanent exhibition halls and one temporary exhibition hall. The "Story of Earth and Life" exhibition hall showcases the natural history and resources of Jiande in geological chronological order, highlighting the stratigraphic units and biological fossils named after Jiande. The "Land of Merit and Virtue" exhibition hall traces the historical development of Jiande, displaying its historical origins, administrative evolution, city architecture, and historical figures through cultural relics and literature. The "Ancient Charm of the Three Rivers and Two Banks" exhibition hall presents Jiande's rich intangible cultural heritage, including items listed at the provincial, municipal, and city levels. The "Art of Shou Chongde" exhibition hall displays Shou Chongde's paintings, related artifacts, and literature. A visit takes approximately 1.5 hrs.
