Traditional Korean Houses in Jeju

We visited a traditional village with unique architecture. The houses are surrounded by olle or piled stone walls because of the strong wind in Jeju, so the houses won't be damaged by typhoons. The houses are rather low to repel the wind. The roofs are flat and spread with barley straw, which look cute to me. There are gates called Jeongnang and sections to keep pigs, cows, and horses. We also get to see some statues which are only available in Jeju. Such a special trip to know more about the old time residential life in Jeju. #newyearadventure #tripblazers #korea #jeju
