Udo Island Guide

Transportation: Head to Seongsan Port. From Jeju City, you can take the East Line bus from Jeju Intercity Bus Terminal to Seongsan. From Seogwipo City, you can take the suburban bus to Seongsan. You can also take bus 211 or 212 from Jeju City and get off at the last stop. Walk for 5–8 minutes to the port. If you take a taxi, you can directly navigate to Seongsan Port. Take a ferry to Udo Island: After arriving at Seongsan Port, fill out a ferry application form at the ticket hall. The form includes your name, date of birth, gender, etc. You can fill in the names of your companions on the same form. Then, go to the ticket office on the left side of the entrance to buy tickets. The ferry ticket is KRW 10,000 per person. The ferry to Tianjin Port departs on the half hour (07:30–17:00), and the ferry to Mudong Port departs at 07:30 and on the hour. Transportation on the island: Rent a car: There are many car rental companies near the port. The rental price of an electric bicycle is KRW 10,000–15,000 per bike. You can rent a bike with a passport and ride it all day. It takes about 1 hour to ride around the island. You need an international driver's license to rent a tricycle. Island bus: The ticket price is KRW 5,000 per person. You can get on and off at each attraction with the ticket. Attractions: Eight attractions on Udo Island: Tianjin Guanshan, Qianpu Wangdao, Xibin Baisha, Dong'an Whale Cave, Ditou Qingsha, Houhai Stone Wall, Daytime Moon, and Night Sailing Fish Sail. Lighthouse and Mani Pile: There is a stone watchtower next to the white lighthouse on the north coast. It is a holy place for making wishes. You can make a wish here. Food recommendations: Haenyeo's House: It offers seafood noodles, porridge, and platters. The price is less than KRW 15,000, and the seafood platter is about KRW 25,000. Black Sand Beach Cafe: You can taste peanut ice cream, coffee, and delicious food such as fried pork chops and pork burgers. After returning the vehicle, hand over the return ticket to the staff at the port to board the ferry. The latest return time is 18:00. Be sure to arrive at the port in advance to avoid missing the return ferry.
