Jasper National Park

The Athabasca Falls is located within Canada's Jasper National Park, and is a waterfall formed on the upstream of the Athabasca River, known as one of the most breathtaking waterfalls in the Rocky Mountains. The meltwater from the Columbia Icefield converges into the roaring Athabasca River, which flows from south to north towards the Arctic Ocean. Near Jasper, the wide river gradually narrows, winding through the rocky, dense forest of the canyon, and suddenly drops to a cliff of twenty to thirty meters, forming the thunderous Athabasca Falls.
