Since there aren't many stores near Ashikaga Station, I bought drinks, food, and a picnic mat in advance. It takes a little over an hour to get to Ashikaga Station by express from Asakusa. After arriving at the station, walk for a while and you will be at the riverside. Because there weren't so many people, it was still very open on the river, the scenery was beautiful and it wasn't stuffy, so the experience was great. The vast lawns and streams, the breeze on a summer night, and the gorgeous fireworks, it feels like I will remember that day forever. Last year, I booked a hot spring hotel at another station. After the visit, I didn’t go back to Tokyo directly, but went to another station to soak in the hot springs. Because it is a local place, the price is not expensive and the cost performance is very high.
