Jaipur City Palace (The Pink Palace)

"The Pink City"—Jaipur. In the past, the King of Jaipur ordered the entire city to be painted pink to welcome Prince Edward of Wales, who was fond of the color, hence the famous Pink City was born. The City Palace of Jaipur, located in the center of the old city, was built in 1728 and is one of the best-preserved ancient monuments in India. The City Palace consists of multiple palaces with luxurious architecture. The beauty of the buildings and the marble sculptures' decorations are breathtaking. The palace houses a collection of clothing, carpets, weapons, and artworks left by the royalty and nobility, divided into several exhibition halls with immense historical and artistic value. The current Jaipur royalty still lives in the palace, and some areas have been converted into museums, allowing visitors to experience the luxurious life of the royalty.
