As we drove near the town, we were immediately captivated by the artistic scenery along the Yellow River. ▼ First Glimpse of Jianzha's Riverside Beauty While people often say "The Yellow River is clearest in Guide," this phrase fits Jianzha just as well. Starting from Tongren City, we drove along G213, where the Longwu River merges into the Yellow River before reaching Jianzha. The river's crystal-clear waters mirrored the sky, riverside buildings, forests, and the unique natural landscape—colorful Danxia formations. We spotted a uniquely shaped tree leaning perfectly for a photo op by the river. Posing with it, we became part of the picturesque scene, capturing the moment with our camera—freezing the artistry and adding a poetic touch. Later, we learned from the map that this area is being developed into the "First Bend of the Yellow River Scenic Area." At the time, we were simply drawn in by the unspoiled beauty. ▼ Riverside Park: A Glimpse of Local Life Continuing our journey, we arrived at Riverside Park by dusk, discovering it as a favorite local leisure spot. Grandparents cycled with their grandchildren, friends gathered for photos, and ducks played by the boardwalk—every scene exuded simple, everyday charm. The park, built around the Yellow River's wetlands, features clean, elegant surroundings with riverside trails perfect for walking or exercise. Opposite the park stands the majestic Danxia Mountains—a striking sight for visitors, though locals might take it for granted. Before leaving, we noticed a unique statue and later learned that Jianzha is China's only "Hometown of Ethnic Archery." Additionally, it serves as a high-altitude training base for rowing and canoeing.
