Reborn-Art Festival Brief History The Reborn-Art Festival was conceived in the context of reconstruction support after the Great East Japan Earthquake and was officially launched in 2017. This arts festival is held every two years and aims to promote cultural exchange and regional revitalization through the combination of art, music and food. important milestones 2011: After the earthquake, the concept of the Reborn-Art Festival began to take shape, and reconstruction support activities were launched in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. 2015: The Reborn-Art Festival executive committee was established, with Ishinomaki City and ap bank becoming the main sponsors. 2016: "Reborn-Art Festival × ap bank fes 2016" was held as a warm-up event for the 2017 main festival, attracting approximately 39,000 visitors. 2017: The first Reborn-Art Festival was held, covering Ishinomaki City, Matsushima Bay and Onagawa Town, attracting approximately 260,000 spectators, and becoming an important cultural event in the region. 2019: The second edition of this festival, with the theme of "Touch of Life", attracted approximately 440,000 visitors and displayed the works of 69 groups of artists in multiple locations. 2021-22: In response to the COVID-19 epidemic, the event is divided into two parts, the early stage and the later stage, and continues to be based on the theme of "Altruism and Liquidity". Reborn-Art Festival is not only an art event, but also a platform to promote community revitalization and cultural exchange, bringing a rich cultural experience to local residents and visitors through the integration of art, music and food.
