An early morning stroll around Ishigaki Port. I got up early and took a walk around the area. I looked at the port from the bridge, and peeked at the tetrapods and containers through the gaps in the fence. There was also an anchor that was used a long time ago. The gateway to the Yaeyama Islands. Ishigaki Port. It was my first time touring remote islands, and the weather was perfect with blue skies. I was excited to start my journey. The sea was sparkling as it reflected the sunlight. Of course, the sea is beautiful not only when you go to the remote islands, but even here at Ishigaki Port, it is already beautiful. Tickets to each island can be reserved online in advance with each shipping company, so I recommend making reservations in advance during busy periods such as Golden Week and summer vacation. Comparing champuru on Ishigaki Island. I love champuru. I especially love bitter melon. Whenever I had free time on Ishigaki Island, I ate champuru. Each restaurant had its own unique style, and the set meals were reasonably priced. Recommended champuru restaurants on Ishigaki Island ⬇ ① Set meal "Iwa" A restaurant run by a friendly couple. It was bustling with local regulars. They would talk to me a lot even if I was traveling alone. I liked the food and the hospitality. ② "Kabsa Shokudo" It's a little far from the port terminal, but the view on the opposite shore is truly tropical. I was excited to walk all the way here and see the scenery, which is different from Honshu. It's open from the morning, so you can easily use it. The menu is extensive and the portions are generous.
