Head to Ise Shrine for your first visit of the year in January 2023! Aboard the comfortable premium express train Shimakaze!

For my first post of 2023, I recently went to Ise Grand Shrine for my first visit of the year, so I'll post about that. I took the Kintetsu Railway from Osaka Namba Station to Ise City. It was a comfortable ride using the popular Shimakaze Limited Express. There are cafes and restaurants on board, so you can buy bento boxes, alcohol, Akafuku, and ice cream. After visiting Ise Grand Shrine, I went on a food tour of Okage Yokocho. Mie is very famous for its oysters, so I enjoyed some raw oysters. There are also other delicious things such as Matsusaka beef croquettes and sweet sake from a local sake shop.
