All the beautiful scenery is right before your eyes. After the Jasper wildfire, the glacier had been closed, so it was incredibly lucky that it reopened before my visit—such amazing luck 🍀 Underfoot were clear ice fragments, with blue and white everywhere; my eyes felt like they had been cleansed. The millennia-old glacier water was slightly sweet, and Mengbao said it tasted like peach 🍑 Be sure to wear slip-resistant shoes. After getting off the big foot vehicle, I slipped into the ice with one foot, bruising my knee and wetting the knee of my pants. It’s been two weeks and it’s still purple, but what does it matter? Consider it a mark left by the glacier. Next time, I definitely want to try ice cap hiking. This world is so beautiful and so worth the adventure.
