[Hydra Island] A day trip from Athens to the Cat Island! The townscape of Hydra Island is too cute

Since I came all the way to Athens, I wanted to go to an island with beautiful sea, so I visited Hydra, which is a day trip away! There are many other islands that you can go to for a day trip, such as Pistachio Island, but I heard that Hydra has the clearest sea, so I decided to go here. The townscape is cute, and there aren't many people, so the relaxed and calm atmosphere was the best! I had heard in advance that there are a lot of donkeys and the smell of their feces is a concern, but it didn't bother me that much. However, of course there are no places to change clothes or showers, so it's a good idea to bring a sweat wipe or something. →Swimsuits will dry if you wear a T-shirt over them while walking around the city, but the salt water will make your body sticky, so it's refreshing to have something to wipe your body with! By the way, it's not allowed to go into restaurants in swimsuits, so be careful. ○It's a small island, so you can look around the street stalls in a day. ○There are so many cats that it's called Cat Island. They are stray cats, but they are very beautiful and friendly. When you're eating at a restaurant, you'll notice that several cats are rubbing against your feet. [Access]--- ○It takes just under an hour by train from Athens city to the port (Piraeus). From there, it takes just under two hours by boat to reach Hydra Island. ○There are two boat companies that go to Hydra. During peak seasons, it gets crowded and it seems that you can't buy a ticket for the time you want to board, so I bought one in advance. ○The boat fare is about 30€ one way (about 10,000 yen per person round trip) -Present a printout of the reservation confirmation email -Present your passport -Check in 60 minutes before Although it said that you must check in 30 minutes before, I was able to board without any problems by showing my passport and reservation confirmation email on my smartphone and checking in 30 minutes before.
