How to spend a day outside Reykjavik, Iceland

1. Seljalandsfoss Located along the South Coast. Took around two hour drive from Reykjavik. Enjoy the breathtaking view and you can walk behind the waterfall if you visit during summer time. Don't forget to pay for the parking if you drive here. 2. Fjadrargljufur canyon Best known as its sumptuous and massive canyon. Be prepare to hike for around an hour and you'll not regret the hard work. The scenery you'll ever lay your eyes on. My favourite place in Iceland so far. 3. Diamond beach It is a black sand beach with the icebergs on top which it resembles the diamond. Recommend to visit it around sunset hour. You might have a chance to watch the sunset together with the ocean view. 4. Thingvellir National Park If you're a outdoor lover and also a history buff, this would definitely be your must visit place. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has been a nature reserve for almost 80 years and is the oldest in Iceland.
