It is the largest waterfall in the Westfjords and has a total height of 100 metres (330 ft).Below it are five other waterfalls: Háifoss, Úðafoss, Göngufoss, Hundafoss and Bæjarfoss. Dynjandi and other waterfalls in Dynjandisá and their surroundings were protected as natural monuments in 1981. Jökulsárlón is the most famous and largest glacial lake in Iceland. Located south of the Vatnajökull glacier, between Skaftafell National Park and the city of Höfn, it first appeared between 1934-1935 and in 1975 the lake expanded from 7.9 km² to 18 km² now due to the massive melting of Iceland's glaciers. . The valley Jökuldalur or Glacier Valley is an impressive valley in East Iceland. Since early on, it has mostly consisted of sheep farms, and some of the farms are considered among the best in the country. The valley is also known for its forceful glacial river that has three names: Jökulsá á Brú, Jökulsá á Dal, and Jökla, which has forced its way from the highland through the bottom to the valley for centuries. When heading to Northern Iceland from Egilsstaðir in the East Region in Iceland on the Ring Road, road nr. 1, part of the road goes through the lower part of Jökuldalur. To enter Upper Jökuldalur, you need to take a turn south onto road nr 923 near the farm Skjödólfsstaðir. Skógafoss is a waterfall located in the south of Iceland. This waterfall has a width of 25 meters and a height of 60 meters. On the east side of the falls, a hiking and trekking trail leads to the Fimmverðuháls Pass between the Eyjafjallajokull and Myrdalsjokull glaciers.
