Brief Introduction of the Scenic Area
Zhalonggou Scenic Area is located within the jurisdiction of Haidong Prefecture, Qinghai Province. Zhalonggou Scenic Area is famous for its unique scenery. Here, the mountains are greener, the forests are more secluded, the pines are verdant, the azaleas are blooming, and the streams are gurgling. It is a good place to explore. Going upstream, a 2000-meter-long mountain path winds through the forest, leading directly to the Yaoshuiquan Waterfall. Along the way, there are clear pools of water, winding paths, and lifelike mountain formations. The perfect combination of nature's craftsmanship and human creativity will make you feel relaxed and inspired.
Zhalong is like a huge deer antler, with ravines and dense forests, and beautiful scenery. The black Zhaqu Highway winds south and east along the Zhalong River, leading directly to the valley. Looking far away from the high place, it looks like two intertwined snakes, black and white, winding between the high gorges. The green trees are shaded, the small bridges and flowing water, and the Tibetan courtyards with hanging prayer flags are embedded in it, giving people a sense of beauty that is not like Jiangnan but better than Jiangnan. The scenery in spring, summer, autumn, and winter is different, but each has its own charm.
When the late spring on the plateau kisses Zhalong, the mountain is already full of spring, the green sea is rippling, and it is the late spring season with pleasant scenery, while the mountain is still retaining the freshness of early spring. The small azaleas that have been tormented by the severe winter stretch out their green leaves, and the branches are full of dense purple azalea flowers, which are so heavy that they bend the branches. Among the small azalea bushes, there are large azaleas one by one, with twisted roots and branches connected, leaves communicating, and branches full of bowl-sized flowers, white as snow, pink as red, and purple as black. The mountains and fields have become a sea of flowers, which is extremely beautiful like a fairyland. If you don't come to this scene, you will mistake it for the masterpiece of the oil painting master's emotional brushwork and heavy color. The breeze blows over the mountains and waves of flowers, and a wisp of fragrance overflows from the valleys and peaks of the sea of flowers, permeating the entire mountain and blending with the floating air and the sky, deeply penetrating into the depths of the mountains, even the water just out of the spring also emits a fresh fragrance.

Yaoshuiquan Waterfall
In the depths of Zhalonggou, under the towering Shen Nu Peak, there is a waterfall formed by a curtain of spring water. On the green carpet-like slope, the spring water falls down, splashing pearls and jade, and the scenery is very spectacular. There is a poem in praise:
Water floods the moss and spreads the green carpet
Trees hide the stone forest and surround the white mist
The scenery is quiet and fantastic like a fairyland
Legend has it that there was a Tibetan god doctor who, after a lot of hardships, discovered that this water could cure diseases and had a magical effect. After tasting 108 spring waters, he erected a stone tablet next to each spring water. The stone tablet wrote that this spring water could cure the disease, and the local people drank the spring water to cure the disease according to what was engraved on the stone tablet. After the god doctor left the world, a quack doctor came to Zhalonggou, wanted to buy medicine to make money, but no one came to him for medical treatment and asked for medicine. When he learned that people went to drink spring water to cure diseases, he was furious and went into the mountain to smash 107 stone tablets. Only one stone tablet for treating stomach diseases is preserved to this day.
Yaoshuiquan is natural mineral water. The free CO2 content in the spring water is very high, and it also contains trace elements such as sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron, magnesium, and manganese. Drinking this water regularly can treat gastrointestinal diseases, and regular bathing can prevent and treat various types of arthritis and skin diseases. If it is treated with Chinese herbal medicine, the effect will be better.
2. Ranbuzhanling: Ranbuzhanling is located in Jiatang, Huarui Shen Mountain, and the top of the mountain often accumulates snow.

3. Pillar of Heaven: The Pillar of Heaven, it is about 30 meters high, majestic and spectacular. It is composed of white series gravel rock. This is an ordinary Danxia stone pillar. It used to be a whole with the surrounding mountains. Later, it was weathered along the rock cracks, eroded and cut by water flow, and under the action of gravity, it separated from the mountain and formed the current stone pillar state.
Legend has it that there is a hole on the top of the pillar, and there is a Feng Shui treasure book in the hole. On the cliff opposite the Pillar of Heaven across the Datong River, there is a natural scripture stone that is uneven and looks like Tibetan text. The locals call it the "Repentance Scripture Stone". The huge stone in front of us is shaped like a golden toad, and the round hole on the top of the mountain is like a round moon. This scenic spot is called "Golden Toad Looking at the Moon".
4. The old man picking medicine: It is a karst stone pillar in the soluble rock stratum, the pillar is about 10 meters high, small on the top, middle, and thick on the bottom, it looks like an old man picking medicine who is full of loads and returning, through structural action and joint fissures, cutting, collapsing and gradually forming a solitary peak.
