Liu's House, Nanxun, Zhejiang

Liu's House is a group of Chinese and Western-style buildings facing west, commonly known as the "Red House". The owner, Liu Ansheng, was also known as Tiqing. The main hall is called Chongde Hall, so it is also called Liu's House. Liu's House is located in a quiet place on Nandong Street, Nanxun, Huzhou. It is also called Chongde Hall, commonly known as the "Red House". It is the residence of Liu Ansheng, the third son of Liu Yong, the richest of the "Four Elephants" in Nanxun, and the largest European-style building in Nanxun. It is rectangular in shape and magnificent. The owner of the house, Liu Tiqing, was the third son of Liu Yong, the richest of the "Four Elephants" in Nanxun. He was a candidate for the Daoyuan of Zhili Province and was awarded the third rank. There is a garden alley next to the house. The name of the garden alley originated from the Hua family in Nanxun at the end of the Yuan Dynasty. Because the Hua family built a garden in this alley, it was named Garden Alley. The Zhuang family in the "Zhuang's History Case" of the Qing Dynasty's literary inquisition also lived here. After the case, the house was destroyed, and the Liu family built "Tihao" on the old site.
