Nanxun Ancient Town

Nanxun Ancient Town, located in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, boasts a history of over 800 years. It is one of the best-preserved ancient towns in the Jiangnan water town region, renowned for its unique cultural background and architectural style. One of the most striking features of Nanxun Ancient Town is its perfect blend of Chinese and Western architectural styles. Here, you can see traditional Jiangnan water town buildings with white walls, black tiles, winding alleys, and stone bridges spanning clear streams. At the same time, you can also find some European-style buildings, a result of many Nanxun merchants traveling to Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries and bringing back European architectural styles upon their return. A must-do activity when visiting Nanxun Ancient Town is taking a boat ride through the town's waterways.
