Nanxun's "Peach Blossom Haven"! Experience time flowing backwards at Shuanglin Sanqiao

Shuanglin Ancient Town Shuanglin, a town of great importance for a thousand years, where three bridges connect to the vast sky as if they were one with it. Spanning just 400 meters of the river, these three bridges are built in succession. Although similar in design, they each exhibit a graceful and relaxed posture, with round arches and harmonious proportions, resembling a long rainbow and presenting a spectacular sight. This is quite rare even in the bridge-rich region of Jiangnan. "About the Highlights" Sanqiao is located in Shuanglin, one of the four famous towns of Huzhou. Shuanglin Town has a long history, already a village during the Han and Tang dynasties, known as Donglin; during the Southern Song dynasty, northern merchants moved south with the Song court and settled here, hence it was also called Shanglin; in the third year of the Yongle era of the Ming dynasty (1405), it merged with Xilin Village two miles to the west and was renamed Shuanglin Town, a name that has been used to this day. The establishment of the three bridges also reflects the historical prosperity and wealth of Shuanglin Town. The three bridges, from east to west, are Yuanwang Bridge, Huacheng Bridge, and Wankui Bridge, all spanning north to south over the Shuanglin Pond. They are thin-pierced, thin-arched, triple-arched solid belly stone arch bridges, nearly 50 meters long and nearly 4 meters wide, spaced less than 360 meters apart horizontally. Similar in form, size, and craftsmanship, all were originally built during the Ming dynasty. They have undergone abandonment, reconstruction, and repairs, and have a history of over a hundred years. In 2013, they were recorded in the national heritage list. Each of the three bridges is inscribed with couplets, which those interested can take note of. What's more, to protect the bridges, the river underneath has been closed to navigation, but the ancient bridges are still bustling with people and electric vehicles zooming back and forth, adding a lively atmosphere that complements the ancient town, which is still under development and construction. It is recommended to visit in the afternoon, starting with a tour of the ancient town and its surroundings, then crossing Yuanwang Bridge, Huacheng Bridge, and Wankui Bridge from east to west. When the sun sets, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset by the bridge. "About Transportation" Shuanglin Sanqiao is now part of Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. If driving, navigate to Huacheng Bridge or Wenchang Pavilion, where parking is quite convenient nearby. "About Tickets" Currently, there are no tickets required for the three bridges and Shuanglin Ancient Town, so feel free to stroll around. "About Other" Shuanglin Sanqiao is about 20 kilometers from Nanxun Ancient Town, approximately a 40-minute drive; it is about 24 kilometers from the Xiaguo City ruins, approximately a 35-minute drive, and can be visited together.
