Huizhou Wushantou Greenway offers a panoramic view of the beauty of Xiaojing Bay & Daya Bay

This is a famous greenway in Huizhou, the Wushantou Greenway. If you stay at the Le Meridien Xiaojing Bay, you can easily step onto the greenway and enjoy the beautiful view of Xiaojing Bay. At the beginning, on the left side, there is a shallow beach. After crossing a long bridge, at the end of the beach, there is a dike extending into the unknown, with black rocks of various sizes scattered along the shore like stars. Walking around a big bend, Le Meridien is already on the opposite bank. The entire huge complex of Xiaojing Bay, a bold project by China Resources, comes into view, notable for its quality. Further on, after rounding another bay, the view suddenly opens up to the boundless South China Sea, and every 500 meters or so, there is a viewing platform set up for the maximum enjoyment of your eyes. Along the way, there are some interesting installations, such as this sculpture of a goat jumping, a game from the old days that everyone was skilled at during childhood. The person acting as the goat below could adjust the height of their body. Unfortunately, children nowadays no longer play this game. The signboards became a trendy thing overnight, popular all over the country. It seems that without them, something is missing, and this place is no exception. Looking at them, one feels subtly younger. Further ahead, the cliffs rise, and the road splits into two, one winding along the seaside and the other circling high above. The seaside rock formations also become more spectacular, with colors becoming lighter brown as they approach the shore, contrasting with the large patches of reeds. On the way back, I noticed a detail: at intervals along the narrow pedestrian path next to the wooden railing, there are mosaic pictures featuring marine animals. Many have fallen off and become mottled, but it's still apparent that each one is unique. Such a beautiful original intention can now only be appreciated in spirit. Wushantou Greenway
