📍Huize Ancient City 🚗 2 hours and 30 minutes from Kunming The ancient city is not big, it is just an old city block in the county seat But every bluestone road on the way can make people feel its historical atmosphere The ancient city is not commercialized, and the price of various special snacks will not increase because of tourists💯 ✨About playing 1️⃣ Tang Jiyao's Former Residence It is a small, enclosed courtyard complex, a typical mid-to-late Qing Dynasty residential building in Huize. The courtyard of the former residence is well preserved. Tang Jiyao's former residence displays materials about Tang Jiyao's life, photos, and books. Here, you can marvel at his legendary life and explore his footprints in Huize, which is worth a visit. 2️⃣ Jiangxi Guild Hall Also known as Wanshou Palace, commonly known as Jiangxi Temple. The entire building is carved with wood, stone, and brick, with plaques, couplets, paintings, and murals, which can be called "a must-see in Yunnan ancient architecture". During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were as many as 108 guild halls, temples, and ancestral halls in Huize Ancient City. The eight best-preserved are Jiangxi Guild Hall, Yunnan Guild Hall, Jiangnan Guild Hall, Sichuan Guild Hall, Shaanxi Guild Hall, Guizhou Guild Hall, Huguang Guild Hall, and Fujian Guild Hall. 3️⃣ Huize Park is next to the ancient city The iconic big copper coin of Huize is there. You can drill the coin hole there. There are also musical fountains at night (because we were in a hurry this time, we didn't go at night). 4️⃣ There are also scenic spots around Huize Dahaicao Mountain, Nagu Ancient Town Baiwu Village, Nianhu, and Yulu Dashifeng are all worth visiting. 🍽️About eating 1️⃣ Eight Bowls of Mutton The mutton is delicious and not at all mutton. It is best to make an appointment in advance, otherwise you will have to wait a long time. 2️⃣ Yangyu Xishi (or Yangyu Princess) Don't miss it if you love fried Yangyu, there are many for 10 yuan. There are also bags of potato chips at the door, 10 yuan for a large bag. 3️⃣ Qingheyuan (navigate to Mixue Bingcheng Dongzhi Street Store) A century-old shop, famous for its rare bean flour, and the soy milk is also good, and there are a lot of people. 4️⃣ Xiao Li Barbecue (or Lao Ding Barbecue) The taste is really good, it's a pity that we have few people and don't order much. When we come back, we still miss the taste of that barbecue. Li Baiyang Casserole (or Zuying Breakfast Shop) The casserole rice noodles are really delicious. 🏠 Accommodation is recommended to choose a guesthouse in the ancient city, the ones on the sign in Figure 3 are very good (we decided to go temporarily, and these guesthouses were all booked). In addition to these guesthouses, there are many hotels on both sides of the main street. Yunhai and Jinyulongyuan are recommended, which are more cost-effective.
