I experienced my first 'You Shen' in Quanzhou

🌈 'You Shen' is a traditional folk custom in the southeastern coastal areas, which started in the Southern Song Dynasty. During the New Year, festive holidays, or the birthdays of various gods, the deities of all sizes are invited out of the temples to tour around the region. Firecrackers are set off in every household they pass by, as a way to drive away evil spirits and pray for blessings‼️ 🌟 At Luoyang Bridge, it was my first time experiencing 'You Shen'. It was truly a joyous occasion for both gods and humans, with loud gongs and drums, and firecrackers accompanying us along the way🧨. It's been a long time since I've seen such a lively event, the atmosphere was bursting with excitement, and the festive spirit was in full swing‼️ ⚠️ Luoyang Bridge is divided into Qiaonan Village and Luoyang Village, so I was very lucky to participate in the 'You Shen' event twice in one day, in the afternoon at Qiaonan Village, and in the evening at Luoyang Village☺️
