Xining, Qinghai | Essential Travel Guide for College Students with an Average Budget of 500 RMB

The large prayer flags are right here. After getting off the bus and walking a bit, you'll see many prayer flags. However, the first few close ones are relatively small. The one in the picture, with a small pond, is the farther one, about a 15min walk ⏰ 🙌🏻 Qinghai Lake: We visited the Heima River scenic area, which is very close to Qinghai Lake. There are many seagulls, and it's incredibly beautiful, and it's free of charge 💰 🙌🏻 Chaka Salt Lake: It was cloudy when we went, not very impressive, alas a bit disappointing 😞 Finally understood why it's called 'Mirror of the Sky', because it reflects the sky 😭 Make sure to check the weather before you go 🙌🏻 Qinghai Tibetan Culture Museum: The world's longest Thangka painting is here! It's 618 meters long and 2.5 meters wide, truly stunning ‼️ 🙌🏻 People's Park: In May, the tulips are in full bloom 🌷 Lots of tulips 🌷 Very beautiful, great for taking photos 📸 🙌🏻 Xinqian Night Market: Just passed by on the way to the train station, had some food and drinks 🍱 ✅ Rough Budget: 1. Attraction tickets: Chaka Salt Lake combo ticket (train ride + shoe covers) 108 + Riyue Mountain student ticket 27 + Qinghai Tibetan Culture Museum student ticket 30 = 165 3. I joined a tour group on the first day. The schedule was quite tight, suitable for friends who don't have much time but still want to visit everything. The gathering is around 6 am, and you'll return to Xining by 11 pm ⏰. 2. Dress warmly, the wind at Chaka Salt Lake is strong and cold 🥶 3.
