Escaping the 7/5 rumors for a week·In-depth wandering through Huangshan & Huizhou. Heard there'd be "big news" on 7/5, so I rushed to Anhui for some peace—turned out this trip was totally worth it! The mountain ridges resemble ink brushstrokes, with ravines and sea of clouds creating picture-perfect scenes worthy of ancient literati paintings at every turn. Recommended route: Take Yuping Cable Car up → Yun Valley Cable Car down, saving both legs and time. Time estimate: 3 hours is enough for the highlights during off-peak season. · Gear reminder: 35°C at the base ≠ 15°C at dawn on summit! Must pack a light windbreaker. Young hikers can skip trekking poles—the trails are well-maintained and poles just get in the way. P3-P4 | Hongcun: A living "Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains" painting The ox-shaped water system is incredible! Still waters reflect Huizhou architecture perfectly—shoot at dawn and dusk to skip filters. P5 | Xixinan: Mini ancient village + natural wading pool Compact size (1hr tour). P6 | Huizhou Ancient City: Explore memorial archways & hunt for She inkstones Main attractions are just the government office and octagonal archway, quite commercialized. But! She inkstones are cheap here: ¥300-400 for old quarry stones (same pieces cost thousands in Tunxi Old Street). Don't miss if you love stationery. P7 | Prime Minister's Hometown: More than stinky mandarin fish & hairy tofu Revive your bored tastebuds here! Authentic Huizhou flavors in refreshing environments—perfect for palate changes. Accommodation Review: Hyatt Place Huangshan North Station Pros: Adjacent to high-speed rail + tourist center, with shuttle buses to Huangshan/station. Quiet surroundings—introvert's paradise. Cons: 3-star equivalent facilities, shower lacks overhead spray. No delivery robots (self-pickup only). No power retention—AC shuts off when leaving, making post-hike rooms sauna-like (takes 2+ hours to cool down). For Huangshan-only trips: Stay in Tangkou Town—complete with restaurants, massages, convenience stores, plus Hilton options (Hampton & DoubleTree).
