Guizhou - Huangguoshu Waterfall

Huangguoshu Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Asia and the largest cluster of waterfalls in the world! It was a surreal visit and one that I will never forget. We left early and I would recommend this to avoid the busy crowds. We took a taxi from our hotel to the ticket office. Tickets cost 220rmb including entry to the falls and the shuttle buses. The first shuttle bus takes you to a lovely scenic park, home to a rushing river and waterfall. When you are ready, you can take the shuttle bus to the second location. A beautiful park with endless rivers, streams and lakes. You can walk through caves and narrow rock passages to take in the amazing views. The next shuttle bus takes you through the park to Huangguoshu Waterfall - the star of the show! Before walking down to the waterfall, you can enjoy the bonsai garden and water lily lake. Huangguoshu falls are truly breathtaking and a once in a lifetime experience. You can get very close to the waterfall meaning you get very wet - be sure to bring or buy a rain coat on site. On a sunny day, there will always be a rainbow above the falls which was incredible to see. You can then take a long walk to the waterfall caves where you are able to ‘walk through the waterfall’. There are a number of different food and drink vendors at each site of the waterfall park.
