Hualien, in the scenery without you

Hualien, the missed promise Hualien, I was looking forward to a Mayday concert, but plans couldn't keep up with changes. The concert was postponed indefinitely, leaving me feeling empty. After the typhoon, the cypress trees that were usually rooted in the park and along the coast were blown down and scattered on the beach. The sight of the "cypress sea" was rare, even for the locals. The air was filled with the fragrance of cypress, which was very strong when cycling or walking. Although the scenery was beautiful, I couldn't help but feel melancholy. I had been planning this trip to Hualien for three months, arranging the hotel and itinerary, but the postponement ruined everything. Putting aside the disappointment, there are many fun things to do and delicious food to eat in Hualien. Qixingtan is a must-visit place, where the blue sea waves hit the round pebbles. Walking along the coast in the afternoon, listening to the waves and picking up stones, is very relaxing. Taroko National Park is also worth visiting, with its spectacular canyons and rushing streams. The wonders of nature are hidden there, and hiking is a breathtaking experience. As for food, I recommend bian shi, which is thin dough wrapped with solid meat filling, boiled in clear soup, and sprinkled with green onions. It is very fresh and delicious. Gongzheng baozi is also a must-try, with its hot and juicy filling and unique seasoning. The aboriginal-style stone-grilled meat is also worth trying, with the ingredients sizzling on the hot stone and the aroma making your mouth water. However, there are some things to pay attention to when traveling in Hualien. It rains a lot here, so it's best to carry a light umbrella. When going to the beach, pay attention to the tide times and retreat to a safe place during high tide. If you rent an electric scooter, remember to check the battery to avoid running out of power halfway and ruining your fun. Although I didn't get to see Mayday this time, the scenery and food in Hualien didn't disappoint me, and I look forward to coming back again.
