Iceland’s stunning glacier lagoon

This attraction is approximately 380 kilometers from Reykjavik. This time I came here as part of a local one-day tour. Admission is theoretically free, but there is a fee to park your vehicle. When you come here, you can see the glacial lake just by standing on the shore, but of course, after coming all the way here, it is definitely recommended to take a boat trip, because you can enjoy the multi-angle appearance of the floating ice. Boat tours are available for an additional fee and there are two options: 1) Amphibious vehicle, fee: 6700ISK for adults; 3300ISK for children aged 6-12. 2) Inflatable boat, cost: 14900ISK for adults; 7500ISK for children aged 6-12 years old. This time we chose an amphibious vehicle, with about ten people per vehicle. The staff will provide life jackets for us to put on when we get on the boat. However, the life jacket had a sour smell, which made my friend and I feel a little uncomfortable🤢. The boat ride takes about 40 minutes. Everyone is first arranged to sit on both sides of the boat, and then when the boat slowly stops, the staff will introduce the resume of Binghu. Another employee of the inflatable boat who had been following us picked out a large piece of crystal clear ice in the lake for us to have a super close encounter with, and then let everyone circle around to slowly appreciate the beauty of the ice lake.
