Weekend Trip to Mount Wawu

🟢Two-day weekend trip from Chengdu. Perfect for a family trip with kids. Self-driving is more convenient. You can leave on Saturday and stay overnight in the local area. Then, you can leave early in the morning the next day to climb the mountain. You can spend the whole day there and drive back to Chengdu in the evening. The driving route is as follows: ❤️Chengdu - Liujiang Ancient Town - Wawushan Town. Depart from Chengdu in the morning. Drive along G4202 Chengdu Ring Expressway, G5 Beijing-Kunming Expressway, G93 Chengdu-Chongqing Ring Expressway, and G4218 Yaye Expressway. It takes about 2.5 hours to reach Liujiang Ancient Town. You can enjoy delicious food, admire ancient buildings, and experience the tranquility and charm of the ancient town. Head to Wawushan Town before dusk to check in and enjoy local specialties, such as Wawushan cured meat and Wawushan cold bamboo shoots. ●Day 2: Wawushan Town - Mount Wawu Scenic Area - Chengdu. It is recommended to get up at around 6:00 and walk to Mount Wawu Scenic Area. After arriving at the scenic area, take the Jinhua Bridge Cableway and Gufoping Cableway to the mountain. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of snow-covered cedars, rime, and Mount Gongga. After reaching the top of the mountain, you can go to Yuanyang Pool to enjoy the snow-covered lake, go to Xiang'er Villa to enjoy snow activities, and visit Lanxi Waterfall. Go down the mountain at around 3:00 pm and drive back to Chengdu. ●Tickets: CNY 100 per person in peak season, CNY 60 per person in off season. Tickets are valid for 2 calendar days. ●Cableway: CNY 88 per person for a round trip on Jinhua Bridge Cableway, CNY 98 per person for a round trip on Gufoping Cableway, CNY 170 per person for a round trip on both cableways.
