Seedling at the Padd

Labour day is a tribute or an appreciation to the contributions all workers have made. It is also a day to spread awareness among the people regarding the hard work of workers and celebrate their achievements. This year’s Labour day, I booked an experience for our family. It is host by Produce Green Foundation in Fan Ling. We took part in the rice seedling and understand the work after harvested. I do think the charges are reasonable, given that most of us are oils never have a chance a chance to get involved in such activities. And I am right ! Kids love it, and so do we parents ❤️ We drove to Fanling, parked near the foundation (it’s a public parking spots next to the bbq site). Registered ourselves once we got in, and was arranged to a group of 6 families. The first activity for us is seedling at the paddy field. The guide brief us on things to do and things not to do, encouraging everyone to participate. So, it’s a muddy paddy, and it’s recommended to step in with bare foot as whatever type of shoes will probably got stuck in the mud. We went in right away but being cautious because it’s not easy walking in the mud that your foot dip right in; I’m glad K and D adjust and adapt right away, seeing not everyone like the feelings of stepping on the paddy muds, “it’s quite squishy and it’s like slime! “ says my kids. We plant the seeds as instructed, met some lovely dragonflies on our sprouts and see pond-skater and some bugs bathing. After this, there’s buckets of water for cleaning before we head to another workstation - the post harvest room. It’s where the rice grains where refine; manually peeling the lemma (skins), keeping the embryo of the rice grains. We were given a colander made of bamboo to strain the failing rice grains. Then, we’d experience to carry the load of straw on a shoulder pole before calling it a day. #mykids馬來港孩 #親子好去處懶人包 #親子活動 #hongkong #familyactivities

Noah's Ark

Noah’s Ark We finally went to the Noah’s ark theme park on a Friday, after school. The place is quite big, with different sections/ areas, kids and myself had a lovely afternoon there. I don’t recommend purchasing your tickets at the counter near entrance 😂 it’s way cheaper to get them via apps such as Trip, Klook, KKday. I got ours via Trip - 2 kids tickets (hk residents) total $218 and 2 adults tickets (foreigners) total $190. First, we head straight to the Fun Fun Playground. I was expecting some sun ☀️ (we arrived at 2pm) but to my surprise, the whole playground is covered / shaded by the Tsing Ma Bridge above. Kids love the giant slides and that there’s a lot of climbing. Aside of the rocket theme playing equipment which is more for a 4 years and above thing, next to it is a ship theme playing equipments for younger kids. There are monkey bars, balancing logs too. This playground immediately become one of my kids favourite. Enclosed: No. there’s 2 exits at each sides of the playground Shades: Yes for sun but no for rain. Toilet: Right next to the playground Refreshment: vending machine available right next to the playground and coffees at the rainbow gallery gift shop Mommy think: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Kids think: ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ We are definitely coming back for more! Kids learnt so much at the Ark Expo and Treasure House. #親子好去處懶人包 #親子活動 #諾亞方舟 #放學後 #familyactivities #mykids馬來港孩 #hongkongthemepark #noahsark #afterschool #playground
