Visit Cheung Chau!

Cheung Chau is an island in the Islands District of Hong Kong that my family and I, as local residents of Lantau Island, visit every year. If you do decide to visit Hong Kong, then Cheung Chau is one of the Islands that I definitely recommend that you spend time visiting. The Island is one of my grandparents’ favourite places to visit when visiting us in Hong Kong, and they have missed it greatly after not being able to visit since COVID started in 2019. They have always enjoyed arriving at the Island and going to have a coffee at the nearby Eggenberg Café BnB, before having a relaxing walk and enjoying fresh seafood at Hing Lok Restaurant for lunch. We have also enjoyed spending some time at the stalls and shops where you can buy some unique handcrafted goods, clothing and local foods. I have personally enjoyed the time that I spend at the beach just a few months ago. We stayed until sunset and were able to catch some beautiful views on the ferry. The Island can be accessed by fast ferry Central or Inter-Island (Peng Chau - Mui Wo - Chi Ma Wan - Cheung Chau) from Mui Wo (you can reach Mui Wo by bus from Tung Chung MTR Station). There are a number of places you can stay on the Island, including a few little holiday homes.
