I will admit to you that I came to this place because of the hype. You will not get the best customer service here and you may find their food not that spectacular. But it is about finding the familiarity and tasting the authentic taste. It is a “cha chaan teng” which means traditional teahouse. Plus, they do serve nice scramble eggs and milk/egg pudding. If you really cannot take the Hong Kong’s service culture then you can just buy take-away. It will be so much better. Also, if you dine in, the waiter will also stop you from over-ordering. This is not because they do not want to earn your money. It is just logistic issues because their dining area is small and most times, you have to share your table with strangers if you are alone or dining in pair. I have eaten at their place for 5 times and so far it was ok experience for me.
