Yuen Long's Palace-Style Hot Pot Restaurant Recommendation

Once again, we visited Da Gun Yau Hot Pot, this time at their Yuen Long branch. The restaurant boasts a traditional Chinese style, with the ceiling adorned with Chinese lanterns. The seating is spacious and comfortable. This time, we tried their Fish Maw Chicken Soup Pot, which was truly impressive. The broth was rich and flavorful, with the freshness of the fish maw fully released, making every sip both delicious and nourishing. We ordered the Da Gun Yau Beef Platter (small), which offered a variety of beef cuts. Each cut had a unique texture, making it a delightful experience. The beef quality was excellent, with a strong beef flavor. Additionally, we tried the Iberico Acorn-Fed Pork, which was tender and flavorful, with a smooth texture that is highly recommended. Both dishes were served with dry ice, creating a misty effect that made them perfect for Instagram-worthy photos. Moreover, the handmade Wagyu beef balls were outstanding, with a bouncy texture and a rich Wagyu beef flavor in the center. The taste and texture were remarkable and unique. The fried fish skin was also excellent; when soaked in the fish maw chicken soup, it absorbed the soup's flavor, and when eaten on its own, it was crispy and delicious. We also ordered bean sprouts and baby cabbage, which paired perfectly with the fish maw chicken soup base, adding layers to the flavor.
