As a self-proclaimed hotel enthusiast, the accommodation experience is always my top priority during trips! This time, I unexpectedly booked a stay at St. Regis Hong Kong during my visit, and even though I redeemed it with membership points, I still felt a bit hesitant. However, after checking in, I can confidently say it was worth every penny! The moment I stepped into the room, I was captivated by Andre Fu's design aesthetics. The textured stone finishes exude sophistication, and the elegant spatial layout is a far cry from the over-the-top vibe of influencer-favorite hotels. Every detail embodies "understated luxury": from the custom furniture's sleek lines to the intricate patterns of the handwoven carpets, even the lighting design is meticulously thought out—truly a masterpiece by a design maestro! Breakfast was equally impressive, refined to the point of delight 🥢. Highly recommend the Chinese set menu, featuring freshly made shrimp dumplings and siu mai, paired with adorable bear-shaped dim sum that are almost too cute to eat. However, receiving three bear-shaped dim sums at once slightly diminished the novelty; next time, I’d love to try the hidden menu options! As someone in the design industry, I genuinely admire the owner's impeccable taste! Compared to projects in Northern China, CR's work in Hong Kong is on a whole different level. There are no gimmicky influencer elements here; instead, the hotel showcases exquisite craftsmanship and timeless design, perfectly embodying the essence of luxury. While the price point is undeniably high, this immersive experience is absolutely worthy of being added to your "must-stay list" in life!
