We chose WM Hotel, the only five-star hotel in Sai Kung under IHG, and discovered that this place is truly a tranquil paradise amidst the bustling city. 🚆 Transportation Guide Starting from Shenzhen: Futian Port → East Rail Line to Sha Tin Station (30 minutes) → Transfer to Bus 299X directly to the hotel entrance (30 minutes). The route is clear and convenient, so no worries about getting lost even with the whole family in tow! 🏨 Hotel Highlights - Aesthetic and vacation vibes combined: The hotel features a low-rise two-story building with 240 rooms offering garden or sea views. The rooftop infinity pool is perfect for Instagram-worthy shots (though the water isn’t heated yet—will come back in summer for a swim!). - Family-friendly facilities: Upgraded to a sea-view twin room, which is spacious and modern. The in-room water filter is a thoughtful touch! The only minor downside is the beds are just 1 meter wide, making it a bit cramped for two adults and two kids. - Prime location: Just a 5-minute walk to Sai Kung Pier, Seafood Street, and the Water Sports Center. Whether it’s boating, beach fun, or seafood feasting, everything is within easy reach! 🌿 Three-Day Itinerary Packed with Fun ▪️ Day 1: Take a boat from the pier → Sharp Island (Global Geopark! See the "Pineapple Bun Rock" + snorkeling) ▪️ Day 2: Taxi directly to East Dam of High Island Reservoir (30 minutes) → Hike to the stunning "Po Pin Chau" rock formations, then return to the hotel for sunset views by the pool. ▪️ Day 3: Another boat trip → Yim Tin Tsai/Xiamen Bay to experience fishing village culture + beach activities. ✨ Summary Sai Kung, known as Hong Kong's "backyard," offers a low-density environment and diverse activities, making it perfect for family trips! WM Hotel stands out for its convenient location and comprehensive facilities. Although the bed space is slightly tight, the service and views are definitely a plus. Next time, we’ll try the hotel’s sea-view restaurant and wait for the pool to be heated for a swim!
