The Peak is probably Hong Kong’s most visited tourist destination. It stands sentinel over Hong Kong harbour, and offers 360° views across Hong Kong Island and beyond. The most iconic way to reach The Peak is by the Peak Tram, one of the oldest funicular railways in the word – inaugurated in 1888 – which travels up to a height of 396m. As well as strolling around the Peak circuit, visitors can visit the Peak Tower with its viewing galleries, Madame Tussauds, shops and restaurants.
