First time in Hong Kong tips

🩵My experience in Hong Kong went so much different than from other 90% of people that i met there. First of all, I went solo with almost no money, overall it was a fun one. Despite having only enough money to buy 2 souvenirs and basically all of the other money went to food - this was so much fun. If you are the same as me, don’t worry, there are lots of things to see without paying any money. There are some tips that I came up with after this trip: -rent a very cheap hotel on Tsim Sha Tsui, it is a value for money, despite having almost no amenities, but it is definitely a motivation to spend as many time outside, other than sitting in a hotel, also my hotel (guesthouse) was held by local people who know cheap places with local food, and a i’ve met some companions there as well - so it is quite a catch -using metro is fun and very fast, but it can be much more expensive than taking a bus, first three days I was taking a metro, and other 3 days I was taking a bus. It is longer than metro, BUT, sitting on the bus or a tram you can take a clear view of the city, and it is much cheaper 😉 - go to local restaurants, and yes, some of them dont have english menu, so you would have to use translator. but it is much more convenient than a slice of pizza for $100😭 - if having trouble finding interesting things or places, just google random tram/bus destinations and just go for it. there is always going to be something interesting, it’s either a view, or a small cafe with convenient prices, or a vintage store with things from 70s 🌃other than that, here is a little list of places that i went to that i’ve saved on google maps, there are popular destinations, and not much ones. ⛩️temple street market: idk about you but it is literally a taobao crap, and it is sold 4x times cheaper on there (trust me i’ve checked), other than that - it looks cute at night 🪴lee tung avenue rooftop garden (200 Queen's Rd E, Wan Chai) just a rooftop garden. if you are loooking for a peaceful place in the city - this is the one 🏢choi hong estate (the samsung colorful wall on the playground or smth): it’s a nice sight, but I mostly enjoyed walking in this district, its like a very nice childhood memory idk ⛪️st. john’s church: such a wonderful place with very nice people, also very calm. spend like 2 hours there 🏞️victoria peak: went up by tram, but got down by foot (and i would recommend you too) there are just commercial shops on top and nothing else, to get a great view i went down by foot, it was very lovely and peaceful, there is also a buddha’s temple on the way down somewhere so try not to miss it 🏫museums: museum of history: i wanted to know about the history of hong kong, so it is the best place to go to and find out yourself, be prepared to read heritage discovery center: very cool archeology museum, if you’re a fanatic, it’s the best thing museum of medical science: once again, if you’re a fanatic - that the best place (this one was $10)
