Discover Discovery Bay

Discovery Bay is a wonderfully relaxing community easily accessible by ferry from Central, departing every 30 minutes from Central Ferry Pier No. 3. During my recent visit with my corgi, we kicked off our day with lunch at Coffee Academics. I highly recommend the Prawn and Scallop Pasta Laksa—it was delicious! An added bonus is that with a dining spend of $250, you can redeem a ferry ticket back to Central, making it a fantastic deal. After lunch, we strolled to Discovery Bay Beach, where the atmosphere was vibrant. People were engaged in beach volleyball, and kids were happily building sandcastles while we enjoyed the refreshing sea breeze. We then took a leisurely 30-minute walk to the northern part of Discovery Bay, where we discovered the beautiful White Chapel, which looked stunning against the blue sky, though we couldn’t go inside. Nearby, there’s a square filled with restaurants and bars, and the clock tower serves as another excellent photo opportunity. Overall, Discovery Bay is a perfect destination for a relaxing weekend getaway!
