Recently, I went to CITRINO da YOSHINAGA JINBO with friends to celebrate🍾. The restaurant is managed by the Michelin-starred Ryota Kappou Modern team and Chef Yoshinaga Jinbo, offering a fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisine🇭🇺🇯🇵. The dishes we tried that day were unforgettable, and I have a feeling they'll earn a Michelin star soon😛. 🥬Bagna Cauda ($338) This is Chef Yoshinaga Jinbo's signature dish, known as the 'Vegetable Magician.' It features over thirty types of vegetables, with the combination changing daily based on seasonal availability☺️. The vegetables are prepared using various methods such as baking, frying, smoking, and pickling. Each vegetable is incredibly fresh and offers a rich texture, making it delicious🤤. 🍝Cold Pasta ($480) Another delightful dish😋. The sweet and tangy tomato sauce, fresh sea urchin, and caviar create a refreshing and layered flavor😉. 🥩Dutch Veal ($580) This dish was different from what I expected; I didn't think it would be fried! But it was a pleasant surprise. The Dutch veal is aged to enhance its flavor, resulting in tender and juicy meat with a crispy, non-greasy crust😍. It would be perfect if the accompanying salad used higher-quality vegetables like the Bagna Cauda🤣🤣🤣. 🥧Chestnut Fondant ($168) When it was served, I thought it was a Malay cake🤣🤣🤣. But it's actually a chestnut fondant🌰. This dessert is amazing😍😍😍. When you cut into it, chestnut puree flows out, offering a natural chestnut sweetness with chunks of chestnut for added texture. It also comes with dark chocolate sauce, creating a delightful contrast💥. The coffee gelato is also outstanding😇, with a strong coffee flavor🤩. Overall, the food was incredibly surprising, and the staff were super friendly! Even the receptionist wished me a happy birthday😁. Most of the staff spoke Cantonese, which was very welcoming🤣.
