Hotel prices in Hong Kong are generally quite high, with even the Holiday Inn Express in Mong Kok often costing over 1000 HKD. Therefore, this relatively new AKI MGallery in Wan Chai offers good value for money. Location: It's not far from Wan Chai MTR station, and right across from the popular Wah So Cafe, which has long queues even at 3 PM. Hardware: I must say the entire hotel has successfully adopted a Japanese style. The ground-level drop-off area is quite spacious, and the lobby is on the third floor. There is a rest area next to the check-in counter where you can work, and a bar where you can order coffee. The chairs in the rest area are very comfortable. Room: The rooms are really small, with the basic room estimated to be less than 20 square meters. However, the layout is reasonable, with separate wet and dry areas. At night, you can pull the Japanese-style sliding door to separate the bedroom. You can only get out of bed from both sides, and the so-called city view room just faces old buildings. The room has wireless charging at the bedside, and the lighting control is very well arranged. Service: Standard, nothing to complain about but not overly enthusiastic. Facilities: The rooftop gym is very small, but it does offer some city views, and the slogans outside are quite amusing. In summary: For a price just over 1000 HKD, this new hotel with a good location has its shortcomings, but they seem acceptable, making it a high-value choice.
