LITTLE BAO

Small baos big baos, get them all at @littlebaohk in Hong Kong. Located in Central, Little Bao is the brainchild of celebrity chef @chefmaychow. A touch of western and a touch of eastern, Little Bao serves up fusion delicacies that give a nod and a sprinkle of creativity to several Cantonese staples you'd find in Hong Kong. My favourite was the seasonal special Stir Fried Beef Noodle Fries, that are fries in a delicious sauce reminiscent of Cantonese Beef Hor Fun. Of course, the baos here are the attraction, with Pork Belly Bao a highlight- with the soft and fatty belly meat in between the pillowy buns. For dessert, the seasonal Singapore Fish Head Curry Ice Cream Bao was a surprising delight. I mean, curry and banana ice cream, with crispy fish skin sandwiched between fried buns? It's a complex dessert for sure with spicy, tangy, savoury and sweet flavours in every bite.
