I love seafood @ Cafe

I believe that friends who are familiar with me know that my father and I also like to eat seafood! Father's Day is coming soon, so of course I know how to celebrate with my dad in advance. Going to a buffet would be what he wants most. Last Friday, we went to the Cafe at Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui to enjoy a sumptuous seafood-themed buffet dinner. As soon as you step into the buffet area, you will see dazzling iced seafood! On this day, we were able to taste king crab legs, brown crabs, Vietnamese frozen shrimps, New Zealand mussels, white clams and Canadian conchs. As seafood fans, we were super happy to see this lineup. There are Chinese appetizers placed next to the chilled seafood. The Huadiao drunken chicken wings and the aged vinegar cloud ear fungus are also my favorite delicacies. Just around the corner is the Japanese food area! The sashimi counter has shrimp, salmon, scallops, geoduck, octopus, sashimi and tuna, as well as a variety of sushi, rolls, Japanese tofu and Chinese salads to choose from. And there will be happy times during the four-hour buffet! The chef will cut the hamachi on the spot and share it with everyone. When you hear the bell, remember to queue up to get the fresh hamachi sashimi. There are also many salad bar options that I like! Includes fresh salad greens such as kale, romaine lettuce, corn, onions, black olives, chickpeas, bread crumbs, cherry tomatoes and more! Everyone can use their own creativity to create their favorite salad plate for the unveiling. If you want to be lazy, you can choose to taste the ready-made salad! There are salmon penne salad and potato salad to choose from, and the quality is quite good. There are three types of cheese to choose from, including my dad’s favorite Blue Cheese, and the other two are Emmental Cheese and Brie Cheese, which are also my favorite flavors. There are three Cold Cut options that are best paired with fresh cantaloupe. On the other side, I found a very thoughtful Gluten Free bread with many different flavors! For example, sweet cream buns, seeded bread, madeleines and gluten-free bread. The Indian delicacies on this day include Indian fried crab cakes, Indian lamb rice, Tandoori chicken, Indian lentil curry, Indian butter chicken and garlic Indian flatbread. Friends who love the fragrant and rich Indian food should not miss it. When it comes to the highlight of the Cafe, it has to be the freshly cooked American Boston lobster! In addition to the fresh and original flavor, there are also Thai hot sauce and Sichuan spicy sauce, which definitely caters to guests who like different flavors. When you come to the Western food area, you will first have freshly cooked cheese and crab meat risotto, and of course, the grilled bone-in ribeye that the beef king must love. Next came grilled pineapple sausage, seafood cooked in white wine, pan-fried dragon tongue, Japanese eggplant, grilled lamb thigh, grilled mixed vegetables, and finally tomato soup and French fries with black truffle sauce. As we continued walking, we suddenly saw a blazing fire. It turned out that the chef was preparing fried tiger prawns! The fresh, hot and fragrant taste is very tempting. Next is the roast meat stall, which not only has roast duck, barbecued pork and roast pork belly, but also tender Hainanese chicken rice. The corners were filled with tempura fried to golden and crispy texture, and the soft shell crab tempura was the most appealing to me. Keep walking forward and you will see the Ji Lu noodle stall! There are three soup bases to choose from: spicy soup, pork bone soup and French clear soup. You can then pick your favorite noodles and ingredients to make a bowl of noodles to your taste. For the stew of the day, we got the very tempting fish maw and sun moon fish stewed with chicken. The last one is my favorite stir-fried food corner! The chef will cook a variety of delicious Chinese stir-fries on the spot, which are very attractive. The first dishes include seafood cooked in spicy wine, steamed Sabah grouper, lobster claws in superior soup, braised vegetables with scallops, king prawns with soy sauce, stir-fried mussels with black bean and pepper, and my favorite, pork trotter with ginger. Finally we came to the dessert area. First there was the Candy Corner which is sure to be a favorite for kids, but actually Dad Che also really likes eating candies. The cakes served on that day include Black Forest Cake, Earl Grey Cream Cake, New York Cheesecake and Red Velvet Cake. Each one is very tempting and you really have to save some time to taste them. There are also my favorite mango sticky rice and crispy vanilla Napoleon. When it comes to desserts, ice cream is a must! The ice cream served today is Häagen-Dazs, which comes in six flavors and is filled with all kinds of toppings for you to add to your taste. There are also tofu pudding, bread pudding, Earl Grey cookies, butterfly puffs and freshly made waffles. Finally, the dessert freezer is filled with mango pudding, osmanthus wolfberry jelly, jasmine milk jelly, almond tart, fruit tart, Italian cheese pudding, cranberry chocolate cake and fresh cut fruits. I believe that those with a sweet tooth will be very happy and satisfied. I was very hungry after walking around! Work together with Che Dad to get various delicious foods and start dining together. The soft Brie Cheese is full of milky flavor without being too smelly, which is my favorite cheese flavor, while the strong-flavored Blue Cheese is left for the car-loving dad to enjoy. I took a plate of very sumptuous appetizers! Having this dish can prevent you from eating too much later. Let's taste Japanese delicacies such as sashimi and sushi! The sashimi is of good quality, and I recommend the plump salmon and soft and sweet scallop the most. Among the chilled seafood, the king crab legs are the most attractive. The rich seawater flavor hidden in the tender crab meat is super delicious. In addition, the refreshing and sweet Vietnamese frozen shrimps and fresh New Zealand mussels are also must-try items. But the highlight of this buffet is definitely the freshly cooked lobster! The fresh lobster is served in hot water. The meat is super chewy and full of flavor. The soft orange-red shrimp really makes you want to eat a few more rounds to satisfy your craving. Then the pan-fried tiger prawns are also a source of freshness. The crispy and fragrant big tiger prawns paired with the special butter pomelo soy sauce are really delicious. As for barbecued food, I highly recommend everyone to taste the tender Hainanese chicken. Friends who like tempura should not miss the soft-shell crab tempura. The crispy batter is fried lightly without oil, and the sweet fragrance of the soft-shell crab is very delicious. At around 7pm, when I saw the chef negotiating with the hamachi, I knew the bell would ring soon! Immediately notify dad to queue up in the Japanese area to get his favorite limited edition freshly cut hamachi sashimi. The two of us were able to get a total of six pieces of fresh hamachi sashimi, and Dad Che, who loves to eat, said that it was very fresh and satisfying. Another limited delicacy is the grilled king crab legs, which can be enjoyed either chilled or hot. Friends who are afraid of eating raw or cold food don’t have to worry about not being able to eat the delicious crabs. At this moment, you need a bowl of hot and spicy stew to warm your stomach! Today's delicious soup, Fish Maw, Sun and Moon Fish Stewed with Chicken Soup, contains a whole piece of fish maw, which is super nutritious. Continue to enjoy the super filling scallop and broccoli dish. The salty and fresh scallops are accompanied by the refreshing broccoli. The taste of the fried scallops is really tempting. Besides lobster, the biggest reason why I like to eat buffet at Cafe is pork trotter and ginger! The pork trotters, ginger and vinegar here are very mellow and sweet, the old ginger is very flavorful and the tender pork trotters make me eat two bowls before I can stop. In addition, the Western food is also very good and of high quality! The rich tomato soup had an extraordinary aroma, and the appetizing acidity made me drink two bowls of it. The freshly cooked cheese and crab meat risotto also tasted very good to me, and the aroma of crab meat and cheese made me very satisfied. If you still have an appetite, don't forget to eat the fresh and hot French fries, which are always so attractive when dipped in black truffle sauce. Mr. Che also gave a very good review to the tender roasted bone-in ribeye, while I liked the chewy Indian fried shrimp cakes and Tandoori roasted chicken. At this point, my stomach feels very satisfied and it’s time for my sweet stomach to start moving! First, choose two scoops of ice cream to help digestion. The cranberry sorbet I chose just fits the bill. Tofu pudding is Che Baba’s favorite dessert! It is definitely a happy thing for him to have a big bucket of food here. I especially like Thai mango sticky rice! The salty but not sweet coconut milk makes the glutinous rice attractive, and with the ripe and sweet mango, this dessert will definitely become my favorite. I rarely choose cake to enjoy at buffets! But I highly recommend this Earl Grey cream cake to everyone. The soft Earl Grey cream combined with the fluffy cake with rich bergamot aroma, the taste and texture are more delicious than I could have imagined.
