I passed by Cao Gong Fang and saw that I hadn’t eaten Thai food for a long time, so I decided to patronize "Tai Jiu". Thai fried shrimp cakes ($66) are chewy and not too greasy. Stir-fried Prawns with Golden Edge Vermicelli ($138) was fried until dry and had a wok aroma. The chef cut the prawn shells off, making it easier to eat. Friends who are afraid of spicy food should remember to avoid the chili powder next to it. Taijiu’s dish is bigger than expected. I was already full without having dessert. But no matter how full I am, I still have to eat the mango sticky rice that I haven’t had for a long time. The mango sticky rice ($58) is shaped like Japanese sushi, with five pieces in one serving, three with white glutinous rice and two with black glutinous rice. If you have to choose between the two, I prefer the black glutinous rice over the waffles and shrimp cakes because the soft and glutinous texture is enhanced by the crispy black glutinous rice, which adds a richer texture.
